Digitek (Digoxin) Heart Medication Recall
The manufacturer of Digitek, a drug used to treat heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms, has been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer (Actavis Totowa LLC) because it may contain two times the levels that are appropriate for its intended use.
The existence of double strength tablets poses a risk of toxicity, causing nausea, vomiting, dizziness, low blood pressure, cardiac instability and bradycardia. Several reports of illnesses and injuries have been received.
